Step 1: Check Your Internet Connection
Connection Type | Action |
Wi-Fi | Recommend switching to Ethernet. If not possible, move closer to the router and check signal strength. See the Working From Home article. |
Ethernet | Continue to Step 2. |
Step 2: External Headset or Laptop Audio?
If you're using laptop audio only (no headset):
Right-click the sound icon in your taskbar.
Click Sounds, then go to the Playback tab.
Set the correct device as Default.
Make a test call.
→ If still broken, continue to Step 3.
If you're using a headset:
Unplug it and test with laptop speakers and the built-in mic.
✅ Works without the headset: try a different USB port or a different headset. Contact your hardware vendor if the issue persists.
❌ Still broken: continue to Step 3.
Step 3: Reset Browser Audio Permissions
TitanX uses your browser's audio settings directly. Stale permissions are a common cause of microphone issues.
Click the lock icon in the browser's URL bar.
Click Reset Permissions.
Refresh the page.
When prompted, click Allow to grant microphone access.
Make a test call.
