Smart Stream automatically feeds high-priority prospects directly into a sales rep's dialer list in real time. Instead of a rep manually deciding who to call next, Smart Stream builds and updates the calling queue on its own, based on how urgent each contact is.
Contacts enter Smart Stream as soon as they meet certain conditions. For example, a new inbound lead comes in, a follow-up becomes due, or a high-scoring campaign contact is identified. There's no manual list-building involved; the queue updates continuously as these conditions are met.
Smart Stream automatically starts calling contacts across three tiers:
Tier 1: Inbound Lead Events (from SFDC)
Tier 2: Follow-up Events (manually created or generated from a disposition)
Tier 3: Campaign Events (only for scored contacts with P1 or P2 scores)
After entering the Smart Stream tab, press "Smart Stream" button on the right to begin dialing. The stream starts with the Inbound stream.
Note: Smart Stream only dials contacts that have been scored, and only P1 or P2 contacts. P3 and Bad Data contacts are never dialed through Smart Stream. On top of scoring, Smart Stream also looks at how soon a task or scheduled item is due.
1. Inbound Lead Events
Inbound Lead Events originate from Salesforce (SFDC). Let’s say a prospect visits the website, fills out a form (e.g., "Request a Personalized Quote"), and submits it. That submission automatically creates a new lead in Salesforce with a specific Lead Source tag (e.g., Lead Source = Website Quote Form). Because the prospect explicitly asked for help, this lead carries maximum buyer intent and urgency.
Setup: Which Salesforce lead sources count as "Inbound" is defined either during initial integration, or afterward under Target >> Manage >> Lead Sources >> Inbound Lead Sources. Admins select and define the specific SFDC lead sources that qualify by enabling the desired lead source, then clicking Save. Once a lead source is marked as Inbound, Smart Stream automatically pulls in leads with that tag and prioritizes them right away.
2. Follow-up Events
Follow-up Events come from two sources: manual tasks, or tasks automatically created by a disposition.
2.1. Manual Tasks
A sales rep can manually create a follow-up task from a contact's record:
- Open the contact
- Go to Activity
- Click + Add Task
- Fill in the task info
- Click Create Task
2.2. Disposition-Triggered Tasks
When a sales rep finishes a call with a contact, they log what happened. This is called a disposition (e.g., "No Connect / Answer," "Connect Incomplete," "Meeting Scheduled," …).
Some dispositions open a follow-up tab, letting the user set a future date/time for a follow-up task (e.g., "Meeting Scheduled").
All dispositions exit the contact from the sequence, except for "No Connect / Answer" and "Left VM," which keep the contact in the sequence for further attempts.
See the table below for the full list of dispositions, along with each one's exit-sequence behavior and whether it triggers a follow-up task.
TitanX Disposition | Description | TitanX Stage | Exit Sequence/Campaign | Follow-Up Task |
No Connect / Answer | Call was not answered | No change | No | No |
Connect Incomplete | Target was reached but no result discovered | Priority | Yes | Yes |
Meeting Scheduled | A meeting was scheduled while on the call | Meeting Scheduled | Yes | Yes |
Activated Lead | Target is engaged but requested more info before scheduling | Activated Lead | Yes | Yes |

Not Me | Target is not a good person to start a sales conversation | Nurture | Yes | No |
Referred | A name and contact information provided for a referral | Nurture | Yes | No |

NA | The data reached the contact but it is not the target | Needs Attention | Yes | No |
Left VM | Voicemail was left | No change | No | No |
3. Campaign Events
Campaign Events consist of P1 and P2 contacts that are part of a campaign. Smart Stream identifies these high-priority contacts and automatically makes them eligible for calling.
For example, a sales rep may have a campaign containing a large number of contacts. Each contact has a score based on its associated signals. Only those scoring P1 or P2 are picked up by Smart Stream as Tier 3 events.
Note: If a contact comes from a campaign, it follows the same campaign sequence. Whether the contact is called from Smart Stream or from the campaign directly, it goes through the same steps.
However, this is different from dialing inside a campaign directly: inside a campaign, you can call any contact regardless of score, including P3 and Bad Data contacts.
Caller ID Strategy
Caller ID selection in Smart Stream is strictly signal-driven, regardless of whether the event is an inbound lead, a follow-up, or a campaign step.
General rule: contacts with a P1 signal are called from a dedicated assigned phone number. All other contacts are called from local presence.
Why Events?
We call them "events" because each one refers to a single thing happening at a single point in time. Even two successive interactions with the same contact are treated as two distinct events, each tied to its own moment in time. Smart Stream queues actions that need to happen, not static database records.
For example: if a list has 3 contacts in a sequence with a 0-day time gap (immediate follow-up), finishing a call immediately triggers the next step. The system immediately generates a new follow-up event for that same contact and drops it back into the Smart Stream queue.
This may look like a bug (seeing the same contact reappear quickly in a small list), but it is actually the system correctly creating and processing multiple distinct events for the same record.
Note: Smart Stream isn't actually limited to 50 events; it can hold more than that. You'll just only see 50 at a time on the screen.
Smart Stream Tab
When entering Smart Stream to begin dialing, prospects appear in order in the left side panel. From this panel, users can:
View the Queue: See all queued prospects in their exact dialing sequence.
Access Prospect Details: Click any prospect’s initial avatar to open a quick-view panel featuring three tabs:
Overview: Key prospect details.

Account Details: Associated account information.
Track Session Time: Monitor total time spent in the current dialing session via the on-screen timer.
Exit Session: Click the exit button at any time to leave the Smart Stream session.
