How To Pull a SFDC Report into TitanX

Users can create a report in Salesforce and use it to filter contacts or accounts in TitanX. Instead of recreating complex filters in TitanX, you can build the filters as a report in Salesforce and then use that report in TitanX.

For example, let’s say you have 500 contacts in Salesforce, but you only want to work with 100 contacts that meet certain conditions.

To use this feature:

  1. Create a Salesforce report containing those 100 contacts, using whatever filters fit your conditions.

  2. In TitanX, go to the Intelligence Layer and choose either the Contacts or Accounts tab, depending on what you want to do.

  3. Press Filter.

  4. In the Filters panel, under Group 1, select Salesforce Report from the first dropdown.

  5. Click the Value dropdown, it will load your Salesforce reports so you can choose the one you want to filter by.

  6. Click Apply Filters. The Contacts or Accounts tab will update accordingly.

Following the example above, TitanX will now display those 100 contacts in the tab.

Note: TitanX only detects reports that include a Salesforce Contact ID or Lead ID.

Static Pull (not dynamic)

The feature takes a snapshot of the report's data at the moment you apply the filter.

For example, you create a Salesforce report containing 100 contacts and apply it in TitanX. The next day, you add 20 more contacts to the Salesforce report, bringing its total to 120. TitanX still shows the original 100 contacts, it doesn't automatically update to include the new 20.

If you want TitanX to reflect the updated Salesforce report, you need to apply the report filter again to take a new snapshot.

Requirement

When you create a report in Salesforce, you need to save it somewhere. Salesforce uses folders to control who can access reports.

The report must be saved in either:

  • A public folder, which makes it accessible to all users, or

  • Another folder that the Salesforce integration user has permission to access.

What Can Users Do After Applying the Report?

Once users apply the report in TitanX, the contacts or accounts matching the report appear in the table of the respective tab. From there, they can perform actions after selecting them such as:

  • Run a job: Run a job on the filtered records.

  • Assign to a campaign: Add the filtered records to a campaign.
